Does anyone know if the wheelie control can be adjusted/turned off separately from the rest of the settings? I realize in "user" mode, there is the +7 to -7, but that is about all of your settings, correct? The wheelie control can be trusted as it is really controlling the front wheel from picking up too fast or too high. Please Like the video, share and subscribe if you would like to.
The wheelie control system in the S1000RR functions based on data collected from various sensors placed throughout the motorcycle. These sensors monitor the bike's orientation, speed, and wheel position in real. Does the 2010 BMW S1000RR have wheelie control? Rain mode is the most restrictive mode and the only mode that also reduces horsepower from 193 to 150.
The next step is Sport mode, where the throttle is slightly more aggressive, full power on top, and with wheelie control. Anyone have experience with learning wheelies on these bikes? I have heard the wheelie control is pretty good, and watching some videos it seems that there may be specific settings where it will cut throttle if wheelie angle is too high? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
BMW has refined the software controlling each ride mode, resulting in much more seamless and subtler Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and wheelie control intervention. The document describes the different mode settings available on a 2015/2016 BMW S1000RR motorcycle, including Rain, Sport, Race, and Slick modes. Each mode adjusts various settings like throttle response, traction control, wheelie and stoppie control to suit different riding conditions from wet to track use.
The User mode allows customizing settings like selecting different default modes or. Rain and sport have maximum wheelie control, Race allows a bit more leeway before cutting in, slick deactivates front wheel lift detection. But if you are aggressive, even in rain mode the bike will flip you on your back.
BMW S1000RR instrument console fully explained. We tell you about all the functions including traction control, ABS settings, wheelie control, pro track modes, DDC or dynamic damping control and. Alas, BMW chose to have wheelie control scaled in proportion to the DTC setting.
In other words: If you can ride it really fast, say fast enough to want to dial-back the DTC, you must sacrifice some electronic wheelie control and go back to dragging the rear brake and/or rolling back out of the throttle to control your own wheelies.
