PLANO, Texas (Nov. 6, 2025) - Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain model year 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, 2022-2024 Lexus LX, and 2024 Lexus GX vehicles in North America. Approximately 127,000 Toyota- and Lexus-branded vehicles (conventional gas models only) are involved in this recall in the U.S.
Toyota has announced an expanded safety recall affecting certain 2024 Lexus LX 600 and GX 550 models, along with the Toyota Tundra pickup. This recall extends a previous recall from from May 2024 but now includes additional model years and the Lexus GX 550, which uses the same 3.4L twin. Toyota is expanding its recall of 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra pickup trucks, 2022-2024 Lexus LX SUVs, and 2024 Lexus GX SUVs for engine debris contamination.
The recall is an extension of an issue reported in May 2024, or NHTSA recall number 24V381. That recall included 102,092 vehicles, including the 2022. Toyota has recalled 126,691 model years 2022-2024 Tundra, Lexus LX and 2024 Lexus GX vehicles equipped with a V35A engine.
The trucks and SUVs that are involved in the recall include about 127,000 copies of the nonhybrid Toyota Tundra and Lexus LX (both from the 2022 to 2024 model years), as well as the 2024 Lexus GX. Why are Toyota, Lexus cars being recalled? Some 2025 model year Toyota Camry and Lexus NX cars and specific Lexus RX vehicles from model years 2024 and 2025 have damaged second. Toyota and Lexus recalls over 145,000 MY 2024 and 2025 vehicles for brake hoses and rear seatbelts According to a recent press release from Toyota's newsroom, the automaker is recalling around 147,000 vehicles.
Of the models named in the recalls, the popular Toyota Camry sedan and Tacoma mid. Toyota and Lexus have recalled 1,716 vehicles repaired under a previous recall because the repair might not have been performed correctly. The recall covers certain model Toyota Tundra and Lexus cars manufactured between 2022 and 2024.
