What color is vegeta’s Hair | Fandom

The first few episodes of the anime that depicted Vegeta were animated prior to his first colored appearance within the manga, and Toriyama had yet to give Toei Animation the color schemes for either him or Nappa. This is corroborated by the Wikia trivia for the episode, which states: This episode marks the debut appearance of Vegeta and Nappa in the anime. They are shown in colors quite different from their later ones, especially Vegeta.

This is because Toei guessed their colors, as the corresponding Manga volume was not in color. Toei gave Vegeta the wrong colors in his first appearance of Dragon Ball Z! They corrected it when he got to Earth, but what if they stuck to their guns and he transformed into his Oozaru Great. Come up with an in-universe explanation for wrongly colored Vegeta's appearence in his anime introduction.

Here's mine: Freeza wouldn't let him leave his domain and go on unauthorized trips so he dyed his hair and changed armor to sneak by surveillance and henchmen who were too dumb to recognize him. Toei Animation's recent Vegeta anniversary post reminds old school Dragon Ball Z fans that the iconic Saiyan prince once had a much different look. "He keeps these colors and Bulma dumps him on the spot": Akira Toriyama's Dynamic Art Style Couldn't Save Vegeta from the Manga Industry's One Limitation No matter how great Akira Toriyama was, DBZ couldn't avoid a common adaptation problem!

Good friends, one more correction in one of my cutscenes, here is Vegeta Ssj where I removed almost entirely black from the colors so this was the result that I really liked! Other color corrections will be made soon and maybe more frames will be added! Anyone interested in purchasing the cutscene with the new colors can buy it from me for $5. Yes, if you watched the original Z (and not Kai), Vegeta always had this color scheme. This was the color palette that Vegeta (and Nappa, as his armor isn't quite the same color as it was depicted with when they reached Earth) were originally depicted when first shown, as those first episodes were animated prior to the first full.

Re: Why I'm not fond of Vegeta's original anime color scheme by Apollo Fungus Wed May 22, 2019 6:13 pm I'm mixed on the original colours. On the one hand, I think it's a bit too abrasive, with a few too many colours clamouring for your attention, and I think it was the best choice to change them when they did. This Nappa figure had a BAD paint job so why not paint him & Vegeta in the WRONG colors from their first appearance?!👉NEXT, check out adding LEDs to Broly's.
