The BMW X1 is a great small SUV for anyone who wants equal amounts of practicality and driving enjoyment. Strong engines and sharp handling give it a tossable feel that's appreciated in any type of environment. Less enamoring are its high price, quirky infotainment system and unrefined engine stop.
