RoutLense — Privacy Policy

RoutLense turns your travel photos into maps and lets you share trips with people you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Account info — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We use these to identify your account and sync your trips.
Photos & photo metadata — the app reads photos on your device (with your permission) including the date and GPS location stored in them, to place them on your trip map. Photos stay on your device unless you share a trip, make a flyover video, or add photos to a shared trip — then the selected photos (compressed) are uploaded to our cloud so trip members can see them.
Trip data — trip names, dates, stop locations, and captions you create are stored in our cloud (Google Firebase) to back up and sync your trips.
Approximate location of photos — we convert photo GPS coordinates to place names using mapping services.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data.
We do not show ads or share your data with advertisers.
We do not upload your photo library — only photos in trips you choose to share.
We do not track your device's live location; we only read location stored inside your photos.

Who can see your trips

Your trips are private to your account by default. If you share or collaborate on a trip, only people with your invite code (trip members/viewers) can see that trip and its uploaded photos. Flyover videos you generate are stored at a link that is accessible to those you share it with.

Services we rely on

RoutLense is built on Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage — see Google's privacy policy) and Mapbox (maps and geocoding — see Mapbox's privacy policy). Your data is processed by these providers on our behalf.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated cloud data (trips, uploaded photos, videos), email tomerbutbuleast@gmail.com from your sign-in address and we will delete it within 30 days. Deleting the app removes all local data from your device.

Children

RoutLense is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
