Butterfly House & Aquarium (BHA) campus is located in Sertoma Park in Sioux Falls. It is the only public saltwater aquarium in the Dakotas and one of only a few butterfly houses nationwide that are open year-round. Through educational experiences with the smallest and most delicate animals like butterflies, corals, and jellyfish, we fulfill our mission of creating connection and inspiring.

It's the Sertoma Butterfly House & Purdy Marine Cove in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Open year-round, visitors are able to step into a taste of the tropics to explore marine life, free-flying butterflies and other creatures. The butterflies come in chrysalis form from places like Central and South America, Australia, Asia and Africa.
Sioux Falls Zoo & Aquarium (SFZA) is thrilled to welcome axolotls to the Butterfly House & Aquarium campus! Guests can visit these adorable new additions in Ambassador Alley, next to the Marsh Turtle habitat. The Butterfly House & Aquarium will require a reservation time to enter the building. One visitor group will be admitted every 10 minutes so proper distancing can be achieved throughout the relatively small exhibit spaces.
