SoccerAsk is a soccer (football) rules app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and what we do not do.
Your conversation history, questions, and app preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not sync, upload, or retain this data on any server.
When you ask a question, the following is sent to our backend so an answer can be generated:
Your question and conversation context are used solely to generate the answer, and are never logged, stored, or shared on our servers.
Your questions are processed by Google Cloud AI (Vertex AI / Gemini) to generate answers. Question text and conversation context are sent to Google's servers and processed in-memory; they are not retained. Use of Google Cloud AI is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
SoccerAsk uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to enforce daily usage limits. This creates a temporary, randomly generated ID with no connection to your identity. No email address, name, or personal information is required or collected.
Our server logs only aggregate, non-identifying operational data:
We never log query text, answer text, conversation history, or any information that could identify you.
SoccerAsk uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand aggregate, anonymous product usage. We log only content-free events — when a question is asked, when an answer is received, when an answer is cancelled, and which source type answered. These events never include your question text, the answer text, or any personal information, and are tied only to an anonymous Firebase installation identifier. Use of Firebase Analytics is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
On native (iOS) builds only, SoccerAsk uses Firebase Crashlytics to report anonymous crash diagnostics. Crash reports never include your questions, answers, or conversation content. Crash reporting is disabled on the web.
SoccerAsk relies on these third-party services to operate:
SoccerAsk does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
