We review the 2023 BMW R nineT 100 Years Edition, created to commemorate BMW Motorrad's 100th anniversary and limited to 1,923 units. This 2023 BMW R nineT is one of 1,923 100 Years Edition examples produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of BMW Motorrad's first bike, the R32, and it is styled after the R75/5. It was acquired from its original owner by the selling dealer and has five miles.

In 2023, we celebrated our history with two edition models: the BMW R 18 100 Years and the BMW R nineT 100 Years. With its chrome-plated tank and paint-on-chrome technology, the R nineT is reminiscent of the 1969 R 75/5. BMW, 100 years after producing its first motorcycle, is celebrating the milestone with two limited-edition models: the R nineT 100 Years and the R 18 100 Years.

In keeping with the year in which BMW Motorrad was founded, each model will be limited to 1,923 units globally. A century ago, the R 32 initiated an unparalleled success story. Today, we commemorate our rich history with a new icon: the BMW R nineT 100 Years.

Limited to 1,923 units, it stands as a model for true enthusiasts, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Adorned with numerous exclusive Option 719 milled parts and, naturally, the distinctive boxer engine, it epitomizes #SoulFuel in its most exclusive. The R nineT and R 18 100 Years Editions represent a modern take on the classic roadster style motorcycles that have been part of the Motorrad line-up from the beginning.

Both incorporate numerous special features, including the use of Option719 parts and special chromed and painted finishes. BMW will produce only 1,923 copies of each edition globally, in recognition of the year 1923 when BMW. The R 18 version carries an MSRP of $18,990, and the R nineT will be $19,995.

If you expected the R 18 to cost more than the R nineT, like I did, a visit to BMW's site shows that the base MSRP for an R 18 has dropped down to $14,995. That's down from $17,495 when Zack first rode the R 18 in 2020.
