Nick Jr Fish Logo

Upon the channel's launch in 1988, as with the Nickelodeon logo, this also took various shapes. In Nick Jr.'s case, to emphasize the parent-and-child viewing aspect of the programs, two of the same object were shown, one orange and one blue or light blue (and smaller). These logos were also used for the opening of the home videos.

During this period, the "father and son" logo was introduced. When the fish eat it, the bigger one fills in with orange and the smaller one with blue, forming the Nick Jr. logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation by Electric Picture Works in New York that uses the exact same technique as "Elephants". Logo: On a white background, we see two black dots pop up in the center. Then, the dots "morph" into 2 drawings of fish. Below is some seaweed.

When the fish eat it, the left fills with orange and the right with blue, resulting in the Nick Jr. logo of the time (which is basically the same thing as the 1994 version, but with a "tighter"look to the shapes). The fish hug each other.

FX/SFX: 2D. Fish: This logo would later become animated for the start of Nickelodeon DVDs starting from 2003 until 2010, and the start for every Nick Jr. DVDs starting from 2008 until 2009.
