July 29, 2025 -G2 JoshRT on G2's Offseason: It was a really fast process trialing a few people in under two days. We had to get it done because there were roster locks, deadlines, and submissions... He's (Babybay) had trials in between the offseasons to try and get back, so I thought why not give him the chance? July 18, 2025 -I mean, if you pick up Babybay instead of him, there must be things going on.
... Why buyout LEVs contract if you can play a player who prob isnt asking for a lot cuz hes prob doing this partially for fun (cuz he already has a job as a commentator), they made champs already who cares about stage 2 really ... True.
My bad. ... This is probably cope but I'm guessing G2 didn't want to pay Demon1's buyout for him to play a few relatively inconsequential games since they're already in champs.
3 days ago -I've seen enough. Drop everyone and build a roster around Babybay. 10 trophies instantly.
💪 ... But would any of them leave? Even as a hater I think that G2 is probably the best team they could go to. Already top team, consistently finish high.
August 11, 2025 -G2 Babybay on Trying to Get Back into Pro Play: I trialed for NRG and EG and didn't make either...It sucked because I made it so far in these trials and I felt I was good enough to play in VCT...but there are limited spots and it's just tough. July 18, 2025 -I skimmed through all of the NA players in 2022 (since jawg mentioned experience) for a 30 year old that is still semi-within the scene. Babybay made the most sense because 1. He’s 30 like joshrt said and 2.
He’s already in LA so he’s a cheap replacement for leaf who I assume will be out short-term. On top of that his last 2 tweets are about g2 which could just be a coincidence. November 13, 2025 -Babybay will need to consistently prove that he can play the way he did after the sentinels game for most if not all of the year and against top teams for people to stop doubting him IMO, but he was pretty good even off chamber after he warmed up so I’m willing to give him a chance · I also think that the benefit of leaf being able to play whatever he wants and G2 finally running double duelist next year SHOULD be enough of an upgrade that babybay will get more leniency than he probably should, but until I see them in kickoff I can’t be sure November 13, 2025 -Switching a consistent flex in Jonah to adjust Babybay to a new role and adjust leaf to a new role.
... I really do think that G2 put too much pressure on themselves last year and playing with babybay helped relieve a lot of that pressure for them, when leaf came back they crumbled under the pressure again. November 15, 2025 -I'm not saying he could replace leaf.
I think maybe 3-5 ppl in the world maybe could. But it is clear g2 is replacing leaf on senti anyways with babybay who I think is worse on senti than JonahP. Jonah played senti most of this year on G2 and put up good performances.
