NYCBrightStartsprovide families with children aged six weeks to five-years-old with free or low-cost high-quality early childhood education in a variety ofNYCPublic School settings across all five boroughs. The initiative is part of theNYCBrightStartsprogram, and it was pitched to reinforce New York City Public Schools' existing infant and toddler programs through the federal HeadStartprogram, which offers a variety of services to support school-readiness for children from birth to age 5 for low-income families. The municipality will arrange for service providers, considering the individual needs of the child and family, to deliver services authorized by the municipality.BrightStartPT & PTA, PLLC is approved by New York State and has a contract with New York City to provide early intervention services.
Children who live inNYCare eligible to begin 3-K during the fall of the calendar year they turn 3. There are different types of seats available in 3-K programs; some programs may offer more than one seat type, and you can list them separately on your application.
