Venom Blue Color

While Venom's light blue color in Marvel vs. Capcom may turn off purists, the character has had different color schemes within the realm of comics as well. David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane, Venom's original creators, mixed in shades of blue with the character's predominantly black costume to make certain body parts stand out.

Marvel has revealed a new look at Venom, as the iconic symbiote gets a major redesign, taking on Spider-Man's beloved red and blue color scheme. Marvel's new Battleworld series acts as an homage to the original 1984 Secret Wars event, which introduced Venom to the Marvel Universe. It's therefore only fitting that the symbiote gets a dramatic redesign in the process.

Just like Spider-man's suit, Venom was originally highlighted with blue.
