We purchased a heavy, globed chandelier, and when my electrician tried to install it, the cheap aluminum bracket it came with bent under the weight, causing the chandelier to slope.

They work really well as a general area light. The client preferred to go with the "skye" plain dome, which looks a lot less impressive than the textured ones.
