New Aftermarket Oil pump will fit Toyota 22R 22RE Oil Pump 1985 - 1995 This is an Toyota 22R and 22re brand new OE Rock oil pump. Replace your worn out or leaking pump! It fits all 22re 4 cyl. Engines 1985 to 1995 Toyota 22r and 22re including the pickup and 4 runner.

I looks like the front main seal ripped off and that caused the oil spill. The rubber wear surface of the seal is broken off (and inside the oil pump). I speedi-sleeved the pulley. I guess the sleeve caught the seal while I was installing it and broke it. This still doesn't explain why it idled fine for 20.
Can anyone tell me the best method of getting a new dry oil pump with a new built engine to prime and pull oil right away.Dont tell me to pack with grease! I did this and didnt get anything for oil.But did have grease blocking all the rocker oiling ports! Which I had to remove by pushing hot oil.
