I went from a 2gen Fire TV Cube to a Fire TV MAX for the ARC Passthrough. My Video game sound was getting Passthrough as Dolby 5.1 in the Alexa Home Theater Group. Now with the Fire TV Cube V3 and the HDMI 2.1 input.

I just checked the Fire TV pendant and it's still locked to 30fps for those same channels. The way I look at it: is it on a main tv that you use all the time and are you probably going to use it for many years, get the cube. If it's a secondary tv then just get a ftv stick 4k.
