Today was a lovely fall day to go do a POTA activation, so I headed to Hamilton, about 36 km from my house, to Dundurn Castle.
Like last week, at Crawford lake, it is an ideal location for a POTA activation in terms of convenience. The parking lot had a number of picnic tables nearby, and great trees for an end-fed. There was a bit of road noise, including a couple of low-altitude fly-overs from the Avro Lancaster WW-II bomber.
The activation was from 15:32 UTC to 16:48, so an hour and a quarter. I made 18 QSOs, 17 of which was on 20m, and a single 40m contact. All were on SSB phone. Of the 18 QSOs, 13 were Park-to-Park.
