Being a bright sunny day, with the forecast for Sunday being rainy, I thought that I would try out a new activation. This time in darkest Mississauga, in the Meadowvale Conservation Area. While generally I have few nice words for Mississauga, this particular park is quite nice, and there are still remnants of agricultural plots, and some of the houses still have some character. That said, this park was very close to the 407 highway, and directly on the flight path for Pearson airport.
I set up next to a lovely tree with my new Chelegance vertical antenna.
It was very breezy, and so there is some bend in the vertical.
Here is the nice tree that was next to the picnic table.
I love the texture o the bark, and it has some robust mushrooms
at the bottom that seem able to weather a couple of frosts.
I met this nice couple who have a beautiful dog, Maddox, a Belgium Malinois.
I spoke to them for quite a while about dogs and Amateur radio!
I never tire of talking about animals or radio!
