I watched Victoria's lesson, and activated the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere (CA-0063), as it was also POTA "Support Your Parks" weekend. By activating at the horse barn, I got to spend time with my lovely daughter, watching her lesson (she is a really good rider!), and graze my favorite horse, Color Me Kool, a chestnut arabian that is simply lovely.
Kool has been having a really hard time with arthritis, and now has to wear boots to help his soreness. We may not have him much longer, so it was a nice time to spend some quality time with him letting him do his favorite thing: eating clover.
The bands were not that good, but I got my 12 QSOs, and enjoyed time in the warm sun. All 20m CW with Elecraft KH1. I got NN4SA, Nasa on the Air, as well in Huntsville, Alabama.
