Since opening we have diverted around 65 tonnes of waste from landfill through refurbishment and resale or recycling. Approx 7 tonnes per year. Perth College diverts all IT equipment that is being replaced as part of their IT refresh cycle through the WEEE Centre, as part of their waste management programme. Throughout the project we have supported several local and international charities and supported new business and local entrepreneurs. We have a repair service for electrical items, repair café events where volunteers teach participants to fix their own items, a tool library, and workshops on repairing and upcycling items. Since Covid-19 we have established ‘Stirling Community Food’ which has distributed over 65 tonnes of food to our local community.
