Whether one's preference is the manga or anime, one thing can be agreed on by many fans of Erased -- seeing Kayo Hinazuki married with a child after Satoru Fujinuma wakes up from his 15 year coma is gut-wrenching, and not in a good way. Satoru's struggle to save Kayo's life bound the two together in a way that seemed they could become the childhood sweethearts who actually earn a happily ever. I didn't quite anticipate Satoru's 15-year coma, though.

And I really thought he'd end up with Kayo in the future, if not Airi (but to be fair Airi was 16 in his present age) but then Kayo married Hiromi whom I thought was a girl, and even had a baby with him. Kayo Hinazuki is one of the three original victims in a serial kidnapping and killing committed by Gaku Yashiro. The other two victims being Hiromi Sugita and Aya Nakanishi.

She is one of Satoru Fujinuma's primary school classmates and is a loner due to her mysterious family life. Kayo doesn't have much of a presence in class. Prior to becoming friends with Satoru Fujinuma's group, she didn't.

I think we are aware of the fact that the ending of erased is controversial. Spoiler alert: Kayo not ending up with Satoru wasn't really a big deal. Because Satoru just wanted to save her which he actually did.

Kayo marrying another guy is also fine. But I think the author made it more awkward than it should have been. Kayo is literally married to Hiromi right now and also has a kid.

Are we. When Kayo first met Satoru during the 18-year "Revival" she asked Satoru to kill someone for her (meaning it as a' joke'), however, she had actually wanted him to kill her mother, out of her depression from the abuse her mother gave her. Sometime in the future, she got married to Hiromi Sugita, becoming Kayo Sugita.

Btw In 2006 airi's boss said that she was 17 and when Satoru woke up from his coma it was 2003 so airi was 14 at the end of erased. Hiromi Sugita is one of the three original victims of the serial kidnappings and killings in 1988.

The other two victims being Kayo Hinazuki and Aya Nakanishi. He is Satoru Fujinuma's primary school classmate, who has an androgynous appearance and a unisex given name, and an ally to him. Hiromi is known to be good at Othello and likes reading.

He is cheerful and bright and is often mistaken. She liked satoru until she was in middle school. Then she gave up on him because the people around him blocked it.

In other words, she didn't give up on him because of hiromi. Until then, she had no connection with her and his relationship. So, Hiromi and kayo's relationship (in elementary school) has nothing to do with it.

I keep seeing things about Erased saying Kayo should've waited for Satoru and other, similar things. I don't understand it, and when I do see it most of the time it's insulting Kayo, as she decided to get married?
