In which I blend my mild obsession, preoccupation, interest and intrigue with shopping carts together with that iconic mint green Art Deco bathroom inside room 237 in Kubrik's horror classic based on the novel by Stephen King, The Shining.

I have replaced the nude actor Lia Beldam in the tub with a green shopping cart. Does the cart lurk or shyly peek out behind the shower curtain? Up to you. Another bathroom scene occurs in the film near the start.

Danny is talking to himself in a mirror, once again on the right wall, as the camera creeps slowly forward. The shower curtain is pulled across even though there's no one in the shower, a foreshadowing of the room 237 shower curtain. Both scenes even feature the same music.

If there is a better scene in all of cinema, it probably comes from The Shining (1980) as well-the first bar scene? But pound for pound the back and forth between Jack and Grady in the unbelievably beautiful set of the red and white bathroom may be my all.
