Gnome Invert Colors

I have some custom colours set up inside gnome-terminal, basically light text on dark background. The problem is, some programs interact badly with the colors. For example, htop uses very light green/blues for highlighting text, but the text itself is not inverted so it's very poorly visible - see image.

Now, I'd expect that there is some kind of protocol that tells htop (or vim etc.) whether. I've looked at doing this via a colour scheme (high contrast inverted) in Gnome3 without success - with liferea and icedove, menus and sidebars had the inverted color scheme but the parts where actual text is displayed where still black on white. Maybe there's a better scheme for this purpose?

To swap black for white, white for black, and so on, press the menu button in the top. I use it quite frequently. It's great that it can invert colors of a single window.

Effectively a forcefull dark theme for GNOME windows. Fork of JackKenney/gnome. Invert color the whole Gnome Desktop Environment for reading purposes.

This extention use xcalib program for inverting the color, so you need to install xcalib first (in debian-based ditro you can use 'sudo apt-get install xcalib').
