Histories of Latino/a and Latinx Medicine in California is a poster exhibit at the Lane Medical Library entrance. It traces medicine and community in California through rancho and town life, physicians and farmworkers, and today’s Latino/a and Latinx California—including health disparities, community-led care, and visibility in the profession. It also highlights Stanford Medicine’s land history, early Latino/a and Latinx graduates, current student and faculty organizations, clinical programs such as La Clínica Latina, advocacy such as National Latino Physicians Day, and library resources including D-CORE and the Medical History Center.
Each comparison shows design direction (left) and the finished entrance exhibit (right). Hover or focus the circular control for a hint, then drag it sideways to reveal more of either side.
