The old camry hybrid didn't have filter on fan for battery. So overtimr, battery overheated too much and died sooner. After 2018 or so, Toyota started povertime, filters for the fans for the batteries.

They last 400k+ miles now. Reply reply InevitableOne8421 Reply reply More repliesMore replies hiddenintheleavess Reply reply Hersbird. From what I have heard, the Toyota Camry is amongst the most reliable cars ever made, and from what I have heard, many of the older Camrys (XV10, XV20, and XV30) are reliable, with the XV40 generation between 2007 and 2009 taking a bit of a nosedive.

I am curious how the Camry's reliability been recently if it is as reliable or more or less reliable than the older ones, and I am also curious. 37 votes, 83 comments. 31K subscribers in the Camry community.

If you want a hybrid Toyota's technology is proven. Drive them all and see what works for you. Reliability = Toyota Camry.

Unreliability = _________? What's a make and model that's at the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to reliability? It could be your bad luck with a particular car, or the general public's perception of a car. Toyota has probably the highest dependability rating of any car manufacturer - period. I'm not saying company from time to time doesn't get hit with recalls but Camry is a quality built car.

What did Toyota do to the Camry SE's? Question (self.Camry) submitted 1 day ago by structural_nole2015 Camry SE I have been searching for Camry SE models just in case my insurance comes back to me and says my car is totaled. (See previous post for context Well, this happened 😢: r/Camry). 37k for a Camry? Buying a new 2025 Toyota Camry (for $37k) sounds exciting.

A different approach which I took was: For only $4k, I recently bought a used 2008 Toyota Corolla CE with 60k miles from an original owner (elderly couple) who decided to sell it as they had gotten too old to drive it.
