Apparently if your status has switched to "fixed" it means you're in. Mine is still "preregistered" but I haven't received a rejection email yet.

We must pre-purchase a large number of guaranteed, non-refundable, non-deferable entries from the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2026 a full year in advance and when someone commits to an entry and then cancels, we then have to try and resell the entry, pay the marathon a name change fee, cancel the hotel room (if possible) and potentially pay them a fee. As in most events in the Abbott World Marathon Majors Series (AbbottWMM)*, BMW BERLIN-MARATHON race entries are allocated by lottery. Registration for the lottery of race entries for 2026 will be possible from September 25 until November 6, 2025.
