My options are basically to get a decently spec'd F10 with a slightly higher mileage (2014-2016, from 150K-200K km) versus F30's that should definitely be on the higher end at least options wise.

F10 was on the top of the replacement list until the test drive revealed that the F10 is close to a mini-7. The trim level quality of F10 is a class above F30 (as in every generation of 5-series vs. 3-series), but the weight of F10 is a big minus in the handling department, and the F30 became my final choice.

BMW did not offer spares on F10's and F30's in the US, and they don't have a hole under the trunk floor to carry one. BMW did provide spare tires in the countries that require them. The F10's trunk is huge, large enough for a mini.
