It just turned 18,100-miles at the end of last years riding season. All services have been completed and new tires with 0-miles mounted up and ready to start the new season. The bike is equipped with all the options typical of the RT.

I picked up a new 1250RT last week. As I had an RT, I am familiar with drivetrain and wonder wheel, but I know there are things to learn that are specific to the 2020 1250 Roadster. Thanks in advance.

Then, BMW issued Service Information Bulletin 33 04 23, dated December 12, 2023, that outlines the changes to the maintenance schedules for ALL wethead models (GS, GSA, RT, R and RS, model year 2023 and older). The older 1150 RT had a water pump issue around 50k mi but the 1200 and the 1250 haven't really had any consistent issues. On top of that, the rt is one of the most popular bikes bmw makes.

I don't have the RT or the 1250, but have not noticed that issue at all. I usually take off just barely over idle with minimal slipping, and maintaining RPM with throttle as I let the clutch out. Rolls away easily.
