Dick Rowland or Roland[1] (born Jimmie Jones and Diamond Dick Rowland[1] in news reports, born c. 1902 - c. 1960s -1979? [2]) was an American teenage shoeshiner whose arrest for assault in May 1921 was the impetus for the Tulsa race massacre.
