Chat Recap Terms of Use

Introduction

Thank you for choosing Chat Recap (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use and End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us governing your access to and use of the Chat Recap mobile application (the “App”).

The App allows users to upload chat history files from supported messaging platforms and receive automated, rule-based statistical stories and summaries for entertainment purposes.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS

You may only pursue claims against us on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.
You may only seek individual relief (including monetary, injunctive, and declaratory relief).
You may not have the right to a trial by jury for claims against us, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

This Agreement applies to all users of the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any future updates.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the App.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with parental or legal guardian consent.
In the European Economic Area (EEA), users under sixteen (16) require parental consent.

3. Description of the Service

Chat Recap enables users to upload chat history files and generates automated statistics and stories based on message patterns. All processing occurs locally on your device. Chat content is not transmitted to our servers.

4. User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the chat files and content you upload. You represent that you have the legal right to access and analyze such content.

5. Entertainment-Only Disclaimer

The App provides automated, rule-based outputs for entertainment and informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional, legal, psychological, or relationship advice.

6. Third-Party Platforms Disclaimer

Chat Recap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, or any messaging platform.

7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Payments are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store billing information.

8. Acceptable Use

Do not use the App for unlawful purposes.
Do not attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the App.
Do not violate the rights or privacy of others.

9. Availability and Modifications

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these Terms or applicable laws.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Turkish courts.
