@Al_Ewing

I write comics, including IMMORTAL HULK and more to come. Not open to everyone who happens by - and honestly, that's not the end of the world.

    I say again: we don't have time for these ridiculous nationalistic tantrums.

  4. This, of course, being the Boris Johnson who met with Steve "Let them call you racist, wear it as a badge of pride" Bannon last week.

  5. Pretty sure Boris Johnson didn't cause this fuss by mistake, and that almost everybody else is responding exactly as he wanted them to.

    “moneyed wreckers cynically manipulating a mess of resentments that their own politics triggered back in the 1980s, cheating their way to victory, and then attempting to bring their revolution full circle by treating millions of people like cannon fodder.”

    I live on a remote Scottish island and we are starting to plan food stores and increased food production because of a Brexit which Scotland consistently opposed. It isn’t bringing people together in some rustic ideal. Here’s the reality we are facing:

    This is something to keep in mind if you believe that putting far right people on TV and "challenging" them is enough to dispel their support.

  9. I cannot stress enough how important it is to: a) disuade anyone from buying/reading the daily mail b) never visit dm links, as it gives them money. A quick google shows a variety of sites which can show you dm articles for reference w/o paying them. This thread proves why.

  10. What Britain doesn't seem to have grasped is that Brexit was financed on the never-never from an unknown source. The country is changing its constitution forever on the back of a set of mystery "loans" procured by a self-admitted liar. I mean tin-pot doesn't even cover this.

  11. This is a good quote. says the money for Brexit came from his "personal finances" into which "nobody has any insight". Yep.

    Jacob Rees Mogg's father wrote a book on "how to make money in an age of economic crisis". Now, I wonder what Jacob has in mind these days as he pushes for a Hard Brexit, which, surprise...will create an 'age of economic crisis'. Could there be a connection?

  14. This is popping up on my feed and introducing me to some covers I hadn't heard. I'll contribute: Don't Give Up - The Pierces Always On My Mind - Pet Shop Boys Rent - Carter USM "Better"? Opinions vary. But they're not "slower/smugger", which far too many cover versions are.

    REMAIN BROKE NO LAWS. No more of this "bad actors on both sides" bollocks. Leave campaigns were criminal, Remain wasn't. The end.

    In January 2007, the BBC aired a special programme presented by Sir David Attenborough called "Climate Change - Britain Under Threat". It included this imagined weather forecast for a "typical summer's day" in 2020...

    The Immortal Hulk #4 continues to be a surprise in how it handles horror and expectations. Also, Joe Bennett is KILLING IT.

  20. Also today, you can pick up your SECOND PRINTING of IMMORTAL HULK #2, if you're in catch-up mode. It's a nasty little done-in-one story that makes a great introduction to the series as a whole if you're curious about this new HULK book everyone's saying nice things about.

  21. So what's out today? IMMORTAL HULK #4, that's what! This issue, Walter Langkowski - aka Sasquatch of ALPHA FLIGHT fame - joins reporter Jackie McGee on the hunt for the Hulk... and they find something much, much worse. Plus - Bruce Banner in college!

    Cover for IMMORTAL HULK #4, by Alex Ross.
