Bird Colors Celeste

Midway through Chapter 1 (Forsaken City), there's a hidden satellite dish with a monitor flashing different colors. Nearby there are five multi-colored birds flying around. Every few seconds, the birds come together in a circle before dashing away from each other.

Is there some way to interact with the satellite dish and colored birds? The Bird is a character in Celeste. It is blue-feathered, having slightly paler wings, orange feet, and a yellow beak.

It appears in multiple chapters, often around. Can someone tell me what this satellite thing is? It has a monitor with rotating colors, and those bird things flying off to the side. What do I do here?

The player is tasked with dashing in the direction each colored bird dictates when they do their telegraph in the order of the colors flashing on the screen. The order is: white, purple, blue, red, purple again, and yellow. The Celeste family contains earrings, bracelets and necklaces with the sphere as the design hero.
