Life Tables for the United States Social Security Area 1900. The life tables in this report are based on the 1950 census of population and deaths of the 3-year period 1949-51 for the entire continental United States. In deriving life table values at ages under 5, use was made, also, of reported births for each of the 8 years 1944 to 1951, and of deaths for the same years.
