With the concert successfully held in the evening on 27 Jan, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the partners who devoted their efforts to this project. A special thank‑you to our vocal coach, Ms Renee Chan, and dance coach, Mr Fung Chang, as well as the Aim High Music Foundation for sponsoring our members to join an international‑level vocal masterclass last October. We are also deeply grateful to the music, expressive arts, dance and movement, and drama therapists who have dedicated themselves to guiding our members over the past 10 months 🎶.
The evening's programme included “Light in the Fog”, “Dear My Friend,”, “Shallow”, “By My Side”, “Pillow Talk”, “Half Moon Serenade”, “Million Reasons”, “The Bright Side”, “Stars”, and “Joyful Joyful”.
The audience reaction was incredibly enthusiastic, many even turned on their phone flashlights, creating a sea of lights to cheer on the performers 🥺🤩!
“Once Vocal” was founded in March 2025. Through vocal classes 🎤, dance classes 💃, experiential workshops in music therapy 🎼, dance and movement therapy 🪩, and drama therapy 🎭, as well as summer camps 🏕️ and community performances, we aim to provide a musical platform for members to understand themselves, express themselves, and share with others ❤️.
Special thanks to St John’s Cathedral, the Cathedral Council, The Very Revd Kwok‑keung Chan, The Revd Francis Yu, and the LEC Advisory Committee for their support. Our gratitude also goes to the Cathedral staff, workers, Between volunteers, and LEC colleagues!
Thank you to Ma Pak Leung for sponsoring the pear loquat syrup!
Lastly, thank you to every single person who came to watch and support the youth 🙌🏾!
Your presence and encouragement truly made this concert possible and meaningful!
