Statement of Understanding

[Amberlea]:

The Summer Team has completed background checks and signed our Leading with Care policy.

[You]:

I understand that every precaution will be taken to keep my child safe while in the care of Amberlea Presbyterian Church.

However, I understand that my child's participation in this Day Camp may result in injury, health emergency or the contraction of sickness.

I acknowledge that should my child present with symptoms of sickness, he/she will be sent home and referred to testing.

By submitting my registration, I give permission for my child(ren) to participate.

By submitting this registration I give permission to Amberlea Church and Broadway Kids to use photographs and/or video clips for promotion.

Amberlea's Summer Team

Hi, my name is Bethany and I am a Mini Camp Counselor at Amberlea Presbyterian Church.

I am entering grade 12 next school year and hoping to study Biology in post secondary.

I have a great passion to study and work with Sharks, and the ocean. I am a very big ocean person and love being in the water. This year at Summer Camp I am so excited to be working with all my volunteers and providing fun learning for the campers that attend.

I hope Amberlea can support me in prayer to always have faith that God will work through me to teach the campers about him and his works, words, and plan for salvation.

 

Hi! I’m Sloane, and I’m going into my 2nd year at Huron at Western University, studying Governance, Leadership and Ethics.

A fun fact about me is that I used to play rugby, and I loved it. It taught me a lot about teamwork, resilience, and pushing myself. I also love spending time with friends and being part of fun, energetic environments.

This summer at Amberlea, I’m excited to get to know the kids, build relationships, and be part of creating a camp experience they’ll remember.

Amberlea can pray for me for energy, patience, and that I would be able to encourage the people around me well this summer. I am looking forward to an amazing summer!

 

My name is Jack and I am a camp counselor at amberlea for summer 2026.

My favorite thing to do is play soccer. I'm excited to pass down my knowledge of the bible and theology to the next generation of kids. Please pray for me to help plant seeds in the campers and my colleagues and effectively fulfill my responsibilities as a counselor.

 

My name is Shan and I am a 3rd year Business Commerce student at Ontario Tech University.

I love playing sports, playing my guitar, and working out at the gym.

I am excited to see how the Lord uses the team to create a fun, engaging, and Christ-centered camp.

My name is David and I am serving as the Youth & Young Adult Ministries Leader.

I studied film and television at Humber College and now I'm training in HVAC. I have a huge passion for history, including church history; and I love spending time with my wife!

I've worked in summer ministry for over 7 years and for this summer I'm excited to kickstart our youth and young adult ministries and bring together a community of young people at Amberlea.

I'd love it if anyone at Amberlea can pray for these new ministries here, and the young people who are a part of them.
