As we look forward to the weekend of October 3rd and 4th, I am filled with gratitude and anticipation for the blessings that lie ahead for our church community. This upcoming weekend, we'll come together to both thank God for our church and seek His presence and guidance as we move forward into another year.

Saturday Prayer Walk

On Saturday, the 3rd of October, I am excited to invite you all to join me for a meaningful prayer walk around our parish. Our route will take us within the boundaries of the 401, the 400, Shepherd, and Keele. We’ll form teams and walk our neighborhood, offering prayers of blessing upon our community. It’s a chance for us to tune into how God is at work around us and discern how we might participate in His ministry here.

For those who feel that the walk might be a bit too much, I sincerely encourage you to join us in spirit and pray from home. Whether walking or praying from your living room, your spiritual presence will be felt.

Sunday Combined Service

The following day, Sunday, the 4th of October, we will gather for a special and combined service at 10 AM. This will be a moment of spiritual renewal where we’ll use a liturgy from the Book of Alternative Services. During this service, we'll take the opportunity to rededicate our baptismal font, lectern, pulpit, and altar to God’s service for the coming year. This is not just a ritual; it is a rededication of our hearts and commitments to God's work.

Post-service, I invite you to join in fellowship where we'll share a meal together at a potluck. It’s a great opportunity to connect more deeply with one another. We’re organizing sign-ups for dish contributions, and I would love for each of you to contribute if you can.

I hope as many of you as possible can join us for both of these activities. Let’s make this a weekend to remember as we strengthen our bonds with God, our church, and each other.
