Let's delve into the features, benefits, and considerations of the IKEA NORBO drop leaf table.
Space-Saving Design
In the heart of the NORBO lies its most standout feature - the drop leaf mechanism. This ingenious design allows the table to extend from a compact 35.4 inches to a spacious 70.9 inches, providing ample surface area when needed and tucking away neatly when not in use. It's an ideal solution for small apartments, dining rooms that double as home offices, or any space where flexibility is key.

The NORBO is crafted from solid and veneered beech wood, known for its strength and durability. The tabletop features a smooth, easy-to-clean surface, while the legs have a subtle, elegant taper that adds to the overall aesthetic. The table is available in two finishes - natural and black-brown - allowing it to blend seamlessly with various interior styles.
Easy Assembly and Storage
IKEA has streamlined the assembly process for the NORBO, ensuring it can be set up in your space with minimal effort. The table also comes with a clever storage solution - a built-in shelf that can accommodate up to 22 lbs (10 kg), providing additional space for books, decorative items, or kitchenware.
Assembly Time
According to IKEA, the NORBO drop leaf table can be assembled in approximately 30 minutes.
Versatile Use
The NORBO's versatility is one of its most appealing features. It can serve as a dining table, a desk for work or study, a console table in the entryway, or even a buffet table for entertaining. Its compact size and clean lines make it a suitable choice for various rooms and layouts.
