Just starting a Kitchen redo project. We want natural wood cabinets (most likely hickory) everything online looks painted. Semi custom - Costco sells them or visit a dedicated cabinet retailers showroom.
Usually a national brand (Columbia, kemper, j&k etc etc) Custom - local cabinet makers. Can get expensive. Almost any wood species for doors, drawers and molding with full plywood boxes.

I am looking at 4 base cabinets, a inside corner base cabinet and approximately the same for uppers. Have you checked out IKEA? Their cabinets are pretty decent quality, especially for the price. Plus, they come in a bunch of colors, so you can match your wood floors and walls no problem.

1938-built house with a narrow galley kitchen and wood cabinets. (Is this kitchen original?) We are considering remodeling, but the cabinets are such good quality! Should we resand/refinish (paint?) and try to salvage them? Some of the drawers even have functioning built-in pull-out drawers and even a little spice shelf! We also have an extra cabinet saved in the garage from the bathroom. I have to agree with this - the wood clashes with OP's floors, but the white just looks like a very cheap IKEA kitchen.
