Depending on what age Dexter is, and what actor is playing him, his eyes change color between brown, hazel, blue, and green. In New Blood, ten years later, Dexter's appearance remains mostly the same. Rewatching Dexter, currently on season 5.

When he's doing a killing, he wears a plastic mask in which hides his identity, along with plastic, rubber gloves, anything of the sort in which blood does not get on his clothes.Aside from that he occasionally wears normal clothes (even to work), especially brightly colored. So this my first watch through (with my boyfriend is avidly against my researching the show to avoid spoilers) and why do all (oKAY most) of the main characters have green eyes? Super weird considering green eyes are (statistically) rare?¿ idk im an English Lit major so maybe im reading too much into it? lol anyone else notice any color symbolism in the show they wanna talk about? 🤔. Kid dexter having such bright blue eyes, I'm sure it's been talked about before but I had a take on it See, this is a high budget show.

They did a great job with the actor for young dexter and could've easily put brown contact lenses on him or something, but they didn't. The blue in Dexter's glasses (PMS 297 / PMS 305) is darker than the blue in Mandark's (PMS 630), but Dee Dee's eyes (PMS 298) have the darkest blue. Dexter's parents shrunk by about a head and a half in the Reboot, and Dexter didn't shrink that much.
