Applicants will receive an email notification over the coming days to check their accounts. In most areas of the Island of Newfoundland, big game season begins September 13 and closes December 31. The 2023-24 moose quota for the island of Newfoundland is 27,575 licences, including 3,930 non-resident and 460 not-for-profit licences.
In Labrador, the quota is 340 moose. The big game licence application process for the resident moose/caribou draw and black bear, trapper and guide licences are available online only. Applicants will be notified electronically via email when the big game online applications become available, and the big game draw is completed.
