Description : One of the main Sports Car racing tracks in North America, Road Atlanta was built in 1970, since than hosting Sports Car races every year (with the exception of 1993, when the circuit was closed for business). Road Atlanta is located near the Atlanta metropolitan area, in Braselton, Georgia, south of the United States. In the late 1970's, Road Atlanta was bought by the Whittington Brothers, Don and Bill, both racing drivers who won the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans. Years later, in 1986, after a FBI investigation was disclosed the real financial activities of Don and Bill Whittington's fortune: drug smuggling. They even used to land airplanes loaded with tons of marijuana in the Road Atlanta's back straight during the early 1980's. After some years in the jail, the Whittington Brothers sold Road Atlanta, despite the circuit holding its racing activities normally during that conturbated years. In 1986 and 1987 Road Atlanta held two NASCAR Busch Series (now Xfinity Series) races. In the 1995 IMSA race, Road Atlanta's last turn was the place of a serious crash involving the Canadian driver Jeremy Dale and the Italian former Formula One driver Fabrizio Barbazza, the last spent several weeks in coma, and made a full recovering, despite both ended their careers after that crash. In 1998 Road Atlanta was bought by Don Panoz, who made several inversions in track improvement, creating the Chicane after the long back straight, and new pit lane on the right side of the s/f straight. In the same 1998 year Don Panoz created one of the most famous Sports Car races in the World: the "Petit Le Mans", a 10-hour endurance race for prototypes and GT cars, using the same ACO's rules for the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Road Atlanta is a very exciting 2.5 mile (4 kms) road circuit, with uphills and downhills, a long "S" sequence after the fast sweeping turn 1, a long back straight, and the fast right-hander sweeping last turn, just after passing under a bridge.

* Installation *
1.
(if you already have new tracks on the game jump to STEP 2):
patch the game with a util that obliges the game to read the tracks
from the harddisk. These utils are gp2nocd or trakonhd.
Search for one of them on the net and install it. This program will
create a new directory called "circuits": you have to copy there
ALL the 16 track files (F1ct01, F1ct02...........F1ct16)

2.
Place the 'ratlanta' directory from the ZIP file into the Gp2 'gamejams' directory.

3.
Place Road Atlanta_Georgia, USA_2019.dat file in the circuits directory. Slots 07 and 09 was tested, and the track run well. Others slots was not tested.

4.
Start Gp2 and drive...........
