Welcome to Reddit, Discussion Green Room is screening tonight good or bad? (self.horror) submitted 2 days ago * by dvsinla. Green Room is a 2015 American horror - thriller film [6][7] written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier, and produced by Neil Kopp, Victor Moyers and Anish Savjani. I just watched Green Room and it's definitely the sheer coolest horror movie I've seen in a long while.

Pure adrenaline filled tension and the perfect amount of shock, nihilism and just enough humor. Loved the Green Room. It's one of those movies that you read the overview and you might be like "ehhh" but this is where directors make their mark.

elevating something that could be painfully cliche or hard to connect with into a tense character driven fight for survival. Hey Reddit, I'm looking forward to chatting about GREEN ROOM and whatever you'd like! GREEN ROOM grew out of my own experiences attending punk shows and singing in a punk band in my teens, and the desire to merge the punk world with a siege thriller. Back to Green Room though, there is a reason it gets gushed over here.

ABSOLUTELY you should check it out if you're into these kinds of intense, somewhat claustrophobic "protagonist is trapped by murderous assailant"type movies. In Green Room for example, there's a group of devious murderous white supremacist crypto-nazis, but throughout the movie, you understand their motivations close to if not as much as the 'good guys.' It's not necessarily sympathy, but empathy, and I think it's real great writing to pull that off consistently, I think most strongly in this movie. Watching Green Room for the first time because i saw it recommended on here a ton.

This is INSANE. And also a nightmare situation. I've never watched something where I have absolutely ZERO ideas on how to get out of this situation.

Every time i think i know what's gonna happen this movie shocks me. Green Room enacts a "what would you do" premise, demonstrating what happens when a punk band gets a gig at a skinhead venue, comes across a murder scene, and tries to flee. Very much in the spirit of Panic Room, Green Room falls into the escape genre of horror.
