In this way, and thanks to the underground galleries that led to the palace, the queen could enjoy bathing in the sea through these tunnels in a secret and private way. The Queen's Baths (La Illeta dels Banyets, or Baños de La Reina) can be found on a small promontory jutting out from the coast near the El Campello sailing club. There are excavations ongoing with discovery of Roman remains, but the Queen's Bath (Banos de la Reina) is atmospheric and carvings of mermaids can be seen on the rocks in the sea where the Baths were constructed.
