Why Are There No Changing Tables In Men'S Restrooms

These tables are rarely found in public restrooms, and as a result, those who need them are often changed on floors, in vehicles, or are unable to stay in public spaces for more than a few hours. Men's public restrooms should have commercial baby changing stations to support fathers and male caregivers. For too long, changing tables have been predominantly placed in women's restrooms, making it difficult for dads to care for their children in public spaces.

With shifting parenting roles and growing advocacy for gender-inclusive facilities, it's time to address this issue. Now, all restrooms in federal buildings will be required to have baby changing tables, because it's 2016 and dads change diapers, too.
