Bmw K1200s Abs Module Repair

I just completed an ABS-ectomy on my 2004 K1200RS. (See the thread A!@#$%ing ABS! in the K1200 Classic.). I used the Motor Works ABS Module Removal product.

It uses the stock ABS ECU from the bike. Brake light, tail light, and cruise control operates as before. The brakes feel great and the cost was a lot less than a replacement module.

Is the ABS on your BMW motorcycle not working? Module Master can repair it today and fix Low voltage faults, Code 24048 (5DF0), Code 24049 (5DF1), Power supply to pump motor faults, Pump motor fault. Five year warranty on all rebuild work. Flushed and bled the module per the manual and evacuated all air from the front and rear brakes.

In closing I believe the rear brake foot pedal ultimately caused the failure which I need to address before taking the bike out again. Like many others report, the foot pedal sometimes will not return to the resting position causing the ABS to run on. Hi folks, I'm new on here and in desperate help.

I have a 05 k1200s where the dreaded brake failure light is going flashing mad and after flashing for 10 minute's braking disappears completley making for an interesting ride with no brakes. I'm guessing the abs is knackered and need of repair. Recently I've had a change in the front brake feel and pull on the front brake lever of our 2002 K1200RS equipped with the BMW Servo Assisted ABS brakes.

I contacted Module Masters who are known for their ABS pump repair via their web site (www.modulemaster.com) to see if this indicates there. My KS is an '07 model and that year model, BMW changed the ABS module & that funnel is not required. But like Lee mentioned, the servo motor pumps the fluid through for you & I bet you wouldn't have to add much at all depending on how much ran out.

Tried to find a repair facility for my ABS II module, watch a video how to repair and they mentioned Module Masters. Called them up, they said they can rebuild at a fraction of the price, sent the unit in, and it was returned in about 7 weeks even though the technician was on vacation for two weeks, installed on bike and works better than new. Pump is quieter than factory, very happy with the.

Just had my 2008 K1200S unit replaced with one from Module Masters. Apparently the brushes in the pump motor go bad. My pump would work sometimes and not others.

Module Masters charges $250 and gives you a 5 year warranty.
