Bmw K1200s Abs

Here is the situation and solution: 1. I have a 2006 (Mfg. date 02/06) BMW K1200S (12,000 miles) with both ABS and the Servo Assist Integrated brake system.

2. I had been having intermittent brake failure issues with the servo assist system for about 6 months and then finally total failure. 3.

The symptoms were: a). In today's episode, i am removing the ABS / Anti lock brake system / servo actuated brakes / power assisted brakes or whatever you want to call it from a BMW k1200 motorcycle. Now the light will not go off and the brake light doesn't work. Any. About a year ago my K1200S tipped over in the garage It didn't hit the floor but got so low that about 1/3 cup of brake fluid leaked out of the main ABS.

(K40S from 04/2005) I have problems with the ABS. When i do a limit braking, the ABS doesn't takes over. My front wheel is allready blocking.

Additionaly there is no light flashing at the instruments. So i have a not working ABS, but alls instruments say its ok. No red Lights.

Just bought a clean 05 K1200S with 19k miles on the odometer for cheap. I have a 2005/06 BMW K1200S (Australian Spec). it has clocked just over 40,000km. The ABS system has failed 5 times and BMW has replace the ABS computer 5 times.

Each time it fails the brakes are reduced to 20% or less, With various other issues like speedo stops working, cooling fan stops.
