Is The Ektorp Sofa Discontinued

Ikea discontinued their Ektorp series in the fall of 2020. I'm updating it today - June 11th, 2024 - because I think that there are still plenty of Ektorps around. And I think there are many for sale on places like Facebook Marketplace.

So if you wan to know how an Ektorp holds up after more than 7 years of use, read on! Ektorp was a popular line, especially for its affordability, and was made up of sofas, armchairs, chaise longues, footstools and other items. However, with a variety of new lines available and products that are much more comfortable and stylish than Ektorp, IKEA decided to discontinue the line.

IKEA Uppland Sofa (and how it differs from the IKEA Ektorp Sofa) Well, the day has come. IKEA has (sort of) officially retired my beloved Ektorp Sofa and replaced it with the Uppland Sofa. Rumor has it though that they are not completely removing the Ektorp sofa from their line up quite yet.

This post was originally named "5 Reasons to LOVE Ektorp Couches". But in the fall of 2020 the line was discontinued. If you can snag a few couches and slipcovers now would be a great time to buy! With its classic design and inexpensive slipcovers in a variety of colors, I understand why the Ektorp line at Ikea seems to be all the rage among bloggers and interior decorators everywhere.

This post details each different measurements along with its sizes on each Ektorp sofa model. It will also cover all the measurements and images of the discontinued IKEA Ektorp sofas such as the 2 seater sofa bed, corner 2+2 sofa bed, chaise lounge with armrest (s), Tullsta armrest and 2+2 Corner sofa. Sizes are written as Width x Depth x Height - that's the 2 widest points of the couch.

IKEA's EKTORP couch was discontinued in the U.S. back in 2020, so where can owners buy replacement sofa covers now to refresh their interior look? The whole Ektorp line is being discontinued and replaced with Uppland.

Uppland is basically Ektorp, but with larger dimensions and it also has springs in the cushions instead of just foam. The ektorp is by far my favorite couch ever and everyone in my family has one. My mom's is well over 10 years old now.

I had to buy a new couch earlier this year and I found it was discontinued. The Halland or whatever replaced it is nowhere near as good! Ugh! I'll forever be sad. Is Ikea Ektorp discontinued? Like I said before, the Ektorp is not completely discontinued (yet).

The gentleman at IKEA didn't make it sound like it was going to be completely gone for good but you can only get the Ektorp in the Lofallet Beige color (and likely only online). The stores no longer carry the Ektorp sofa. Is the Ektorp sofa being discontinued? Like I said before, the Ektorp is not completely discontinued (yet).
