Start the process to provide safe and nurturing care for children. (a) Small family homes, as defined in section 80001 (s) (3), shall be governed by the provisions specified in this chapter. In addition, such small family homes, except where specified otherwise shall be governed by chapter 1.
General Requirements. A small family child care home, also known as a small family day care home, provides care for eight or fewer children, including children under 10 years of age who live in the home, for periods of less than 24 hours per day.
