Classes are designed to introduce and progress children in drawing, painting, and clay handbuilding. With a curriculum crafted to engage young minds and hands-on activities that encourage exploration and expression, our Kids Art Series is an ideal opportunity for your child to dive into the world of art and unleash their imagination. The Art House curriculum was developed by Cherene Raphael.

She has a CA teachers credential in Fine Art and English + over 45 years of teaching and curriculum designing experience. Lessons are hands - on. Students start from the blank page and are given the tools needed to create composition, color and mood decisions.

The PK/K curriculum is specifically designed for 4 and 5 year olds. Our focus is on building confidence in the creative process. Students work with a full range of materials, wet and dry.

Class is very immersive and allows time for experimentation, material play and questioning. Students will build strong skills in shape building and relationships, color awareness, learning how to look at art. Classes are structured to include art history, sketching, work on our main project and positive group critiques.Students learn how to compose, make decisions, draw, look and think about art.Regular attendance is critical for success.
