Ikea Cd Storage Ideas Reddit

OP here, due to the Shelter in Place order I had time to organize my CD collection. I went for space-saving, and opted to ditch the jewel cases and use individual sleeves. I purchased an Ikea Kallax shelf system for my vinyl collection, but it turns out the optional drawers for the Kallax system fit PERFECTLY for two rows of CDs per drawer.

Each drawer can fit about 150 CDs or so, depending. Still looking for a solution? Best answer is finding one or more IKEA GNEDBY storage shelf/tower. These enable stacking your CDs 12 shelves high.

These were discontinued a few years ago and are becoming quite rare. The next best solution is also a low cost one. I have been considering Billy shelves for media (CDs, Blu-ray, video games) but instead have been looking at drawers to be more efficient with space.

I don't feel the need to display my collection but do want it easy to access. The Nordli drawers look perfect for this, if only my local Ikea (Michigan) ever gets the top/bottom pieces in stock again.
