I owned an F87 M2C along side my E92 M3 for about 7 months last year but found I still enjoyed driving the E92 more it was just more fun so I sold the F87 and bought a Boxster GTS 4.0 which is superb. Previous was an E92 M3, don't rule out the F80.
I find the M2 looks challenging, not a lot of difference in weight between the two but does seem to be the go to choice for a lot of trackday people. Got a new place that has a 2 car garage, so I have a predicament. I was going to buy a F87 M2C as an optimal, single car solution.
